Kathie Rupert was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. In 2010, she moved to Memphis, Tennesee to attend college at Memphis College of Art. Kathie graduated Cum Laude in May 2015 with a BFA in Illustration. She is now currently living and working in Kansas City, KS.

 

Kathie's work is inspired by a lot of her memories as a child, especially her memories of playing pretend with her friends. Her work is also inspired by many children's books and illustrators that she read as a child.

 

Kathie likes to work in children's media, such as books, creating illustrations utilizing digital and traditional media, along with storytelling skills.
